Learn about us

Sustainable practices have long been a part of our daily lives. What we’ve realised over the years, however, is that sustainable living must go hand in hand with sustainable work. Having seen tons of plastic and food go to waste, we decided it’s time to rethink how we organise events and how we can reduce our environmental footprint in the process. After in-depth research and interviews with experts, we’ve found that we can replace virtually everything that goes into an event with a more environment-friendly option. And so we did.

Niki Gintner

It’s rare for someone to know what they want to do when they’re 18, but Niki chose event organising without a doubt when she went to college. She gathered experience from a client point of view for several years before joining our team to pursue what was most appealing to her even as an entrant: sustainable events. Thus, environmental protection has become a keystone not only in her private life but also at work.

How we make a difference

Eco Catering

Eco Catering

When organizing the catering for our events, we compose the menu with special care. We consider seasonality, choose local ingredients and offer vegetarian and vegan options. This is all part of a sustainable event catering service. We’re aspired to be plastic-free, so we use tableware made of porcelain, glass and metal. After every HighVibes event, untouched dishes are donated to charity and left-overs are composted, in order to reduce food waste. Event logistics

Event logistics

We think local and encourage guests to travel by public transport. But there’s always a few things (or people) that has to go by car. To organize truly carbon neutral company events, we calculate carbon footprints with the help of our partners. We support MyForest’s afforestation and WWF’s habitat reconstruction project to neutralize the emission. You can learn more about carbon-offsetting and the role of trees in this article.

Event styling

Event styling

Decorating and styling, tailored to the brand image is one of the most important tasks when preparing a company event. Using natural decorations, sustainable materials, rented furniture and equipment, allows us to close the loop. Instead of printing branded goods, we use screens and other technologies for brand presence. After the event, carpets are donated to pre-schools and natural decorations are composted.

Venues

Venues

As a zero-waste agency, green event venues are our soft spot. We champion like-minded restaurants, hotels and businesses who are open to new ways of thinking and doing, and feel as strongly about sustainability as we do

We collect waste selectively both during and after our events. Yes, we know the difference between polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride and polypropylene, and which bin they go in. Plus, we only use eco-friendly cleaning products to keep event space sparkling clean and protect our waters. Learn more

Event planning

Event planning

As a responsible event organizer company, planning is a crucial step of our process. We created our own sustainable business environment! We don't have business cards, we always turn down the heating in the office, collect garbage selectively and compost the coffee grounds.

Education

Education

Promoting sustainability is central to our mission. We’re committed to continuously educating ourselves and our partners on sustainable practices – and finding ways to raise awareness among event attendees, too.
