"When a brand adopts new socially or environmentally conscious practices, they have to be measurable. Planning is key."

It all starts with
planning.

The circular approach to production and consumption is built on the principle of maximising the lifespan of products. Instead of purchasing, consider renting. For items you do buy, focus on repairing, repurposing, or passing them on before considering disposal.

"We start planning a sustainable event through collaborative thinking involving all stakeholders, where we identify all environmental impacts, from the most significant to the smallest."

A green venue
is half the success

As a sustainable agency, we make every effort to guide our clients in choosing environmentally friendly event locations. During and after our events, we provide selective bins, practice eco-friendly waste management and use green cleaning products.

Logistics
is critical

However, some level of carbon dioxide emissions is inevitable during logistics. We have to account for this from the early planning stages.

Green catering can be exciting and extravagant - but only for open-minds.

When composing the menu, we prioritise seasonality, favour local ingredients, and introduce our guests to vegetarian and vegan dishes. We strive for plastic-free dining in every aspect of our catering.

"Rather than concentrating solely on specific, individual aspects crucial for sustainability, we should assess the resources required for each element of the event and strategise how to maintain a circular approach."

Panka Körmendy
Senior Event Manager

What about
waste?

At our events, the Hungarian "Zöldövezet Társulás" handles selective waste collection, making it 70% more efficient by re-evaluating the contents of the bins. We minimise leftovers through precise planning. The remaining consumable food is either given to guests or staff members or donated to those in need. As a last resort, we compost them.

We work with rented event equipment and furniture, plant decorations, and sustainable materials. Instead of manufacturing branded textiles and roll-ups, we utilise displays and other technological solutions.

Utilising LED lighting technology, we cater to every aspect of events, from designing the stage setup and light shows to educational posters. LEDs often replace printed materials and other disposable decorations. We calculate the harmful emissions resulting from energy consumption and offset them by supporting a habitat reconstruction project.

"From a communication perspective, an event is sustainable if people know that it is."

A good cause enhances
the guest experience

We continually educate ourselves and the team members working on our projects. Moreover, we strive to creatively engage event attendees, aiming to sway as many people towards environmental consciousness as possible. Education is our essence; we believe that an event is as valuable as the insights guests take home.

How do we make
it really zero?

No matter how much we prioritise sustainable solutions, every event involves carbon dioxide emissions. After the event, we calculate the carbon footprint and then neutralise it by supporting reforestation or habitat reconstruction projects.

Clients receive a breakdown of the compiled data and a certificate quantifying the 'saved' amount of carbon dioxide. The latter is measured in comparison to a conventionally organised control event.
